Don't forget to tune in on Monday, November 29th, 2010 to see the beautiful Mr. Keith Urban on Oprah. He will discuss his latest debut album, Get Closer, in addition to his Get Closer World Tour, and I'm sure a little bit about Nicole and Sunday Rose.

OFFICIAL Tour Dates

So it didn't take as long as expected, the OFFICIAL tour dates are up on KeithUrban.net. I'm pretty excited about the set up this year. My goal is to get to 9 concerts to DOUBLE my number and thus far it looks like 6 are definite for me: Hershey, Boston, Mohegan Sun, Newark, Philadelphia, and Albany. Others I'm considering include Buffalo and Washington D.C. if I can get time off of work and someone to travel with! Head over the KeithUrban.net NOW to check out the schedule for your area. Early intelligence said there would be 60 tour dates, but there are only 44 listed right now, perhaps he'll release more dates as they get closer? I'm hoping he adds a second show to Mohegan Sun like usual.

Get Closer Tour

The day has FINALLY arrived! Keith and his crew have released upcoming tour dates to radio stations across the United States. Sources say Keith will be making 60 stops, the majority of which will be confirmed by his site in the upcoming days. Be sure to stay alert to KeithUrban.net for more details!

Exclusive KU Video

Today Hulu and Windows paired up to release an exclusive Keith Urban video based on the flood in Nashville and his latest studio album, Get Closer. The video shows a bit of the personal side of Keith, how he interacts with collaborators in the studio, and his love for music. This video is a great accompaniment to his smashing album that was released today!

Get Closer....Tomorrow!

Keith's 6th studio album, Get Closer, will debut tomorrow, Tuesday, November 16th, 2010. As if that's not exciting enough, Keith will also be making several appearances across the nation to promote his latest album. Keith will appear on The Today Show in New York City on Wednesday, November 17th, on the CBS Early Show in New York City on Thursday, November 18th, and will appear as the halftime act during the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game on Thursday, November 25th. In addition to these special appearances, "Count Me In...An Inside Look At Get Closer" will debut on Hulu starting tomorrow, which is a 30 minute behind-the-scenes look at the meaning behind Keith's newest album. New Site!

Today marks the day of the launch of the new KeithUrban.net. It will definitely take a little getting used to, but the site looks great and is super user friendly. I particularly like how you can do status updates if you're a Monkeyville member and how you can customize your own profile. I think this just shows how Keith is trying to "Get Closer" to his fans now more than ever.

While searching around the new site a bit I discovered that Keith will be doing a surprise release party show in New York City on Tuesday. I definitely wish I had known about this prior to now, because I would DEFINITELY go to NYC to see it!

CMAs are TONIGHT!

Just a reminder to tune in tonight for the 44th Annual CMA Awards on ABC. Tonight's festivities will be hosted by none other than Mr. Brad Paisley and Ms. Carrie Underwood. Keith is up for two awards tonight and will also be opening the show. Photographs released from Keith suggest he'll be doing a trio with Brad and Carrie. CMAs start tonight at 8:00pm...ENJOY!

You Gonna Fly

Keith released his third and final single today before the big release of his latest album, Get Closer, in a week from today on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010. The newest single is entitled "You Gonna Fly" and is an upbeat song that perpetuates Keith's "lovey dovey" theme on his latest album. You can purchase "You Gonna Fly" from iTunes for the low low price of $1.29. What's neat about purchasing the songs via iTunes is that when the album is available, you can buy the entire album less the cost of the singles you've already purchased.

Again, don't forget that Get Closer hits stores in a week from today. The best place to get the album is at Target as there will be 3 additional live tracks from Keith available only at participating Target stores.

Without You

Today Keith released his 3rd song from the "Get Closer" album, titled "Without You." Like many of Keith songs he relates his music and life to the love he has not only for his wife, Nicole Kidman, but also his daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. It's a cute simple little tune that's easy on the ears and quick to remember. To purchase "Without You" visit iTunes.
