It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Keith Urban presale tickets went on sale for Monkeyville members, and I must say I am quite pleased with the results!!! Though the site wasn't working until about 20 past the hour, I ended up getting FLOOR tickets for the following shows:
  • Hershey, PA
  • Boston, MA
  • Uncassville, CT (Mohegan Sun)
  • Newark, NJ
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Albany, NY
  • Washington, DC
The only unfortunately portion of this Monkeyville presale is that they don't tell you exactly where your tickets are, just that they're on the floor - lets hope they're good ones!

Keith on Ellen

Keith Urban performed and had a little chit chat with Ellen this morning, and unfortunately I had to miss it due to class. On Ellen's site you can view a brief portion of the interview with Keith talking about Nic and Sunday Rose.

While snooping around the Ellen site I found this amazing video from the last time Keith appeared...enjoy!

Keith on Oprah

Don't forget to tune in on Monday, November 29th, 2010 to see the beautiful Mr. Keith Urban on Oprah. He will discuss his latest debut album, Get Closer, in addition to his Get Closer World Tour, and I'm sure a little bit about Nicole and Sunday Rose.

Monday, November 22, 2010

So it didn't take as long as expected, the OFFICIAL tour dates are up on I'm pretty excited about the set up this year. My goal is to get to 9 concerts to DOUBLE my number and thus far it looks like 6 are definite for me: Hershey, Boston, Mohegan Sun, Newark, Philadelphia, and Albany. Others I'm considering include Buffalo and Washington D.C. if I can get time off of work and someone to travel with! Head over the NOW to check out the schedule for your area. Early intelligence said there would be 60 tour dates, but there are only 44 listed right now, perhaps he'll release more dates as they get closer? I'm hoping he adds a second show to Mohegan Sun like usual.

Get Closer Tour

The day has FINALLY arrived! Keith and his crew have released upcoming tour dates to radio stations across the United States. Sources say Keith will be making 60 stops, the majority of which will be confirmed by his site in the upcoming days. Be sure to stay alert to for more details!

Keith will appear on The Today Show in New York City on Wednesday, November 17th, on the CBS Early Show in New York City on Thursday, November 18th, and will appear as the halftime act during the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game on Thursday, November 25th. In addition to these special appearances, "Count Me In...An Inside Look At Get Closer" will debut on Hulu starting tomorrow, which is a 30 minute behind-the-scenes look at the meaning behind Keith's newest album. A LOT of exciting things in the future for Keith...continue to frequent for future tour dates!

New Site!

Today marks the day of the launch of the new It will definitely take a little getting used to, but the site looks great and is super user friendly. I particularly like how you can do status updates if you're a Monkeyville member and how you can customize your own profile. I think this just shows how Keith is trying to "Get Closer" to his fans now more than ever.

While searching around the new site a bit I discovered that Keith will be doing a surprise release party show in New York City on Tuesday. I definitely wish I had known about this prior to now, because I would DEFINITELY go to NYC to see it!

Please check out the new site,

You Gonna Fly

Keith released his third and final single today before the big release of his latest album, Get Closer, in a week from today on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010. The newest single is entitled "You Gonna Fly" and is an upbeat song that perpetuates Keith's "lovey dovey" theme on his latest album. You can purchase "You Gonna Fly" from iTunes for the low low price of $1.29. What's neat about purchasing the songs via iTunes is that when the album is available, you can buy the entire album less the cost of the singles you've already purchased.

Again, don't forget that Get Closer hits stores in a week from today. The best place to get the album is at Target as there will be 3 additional live tracks from Keith available only at participating Target stores.

Without You

Today Keith released his 3rd song from the "Get Closer" album, titled "Without You." Like many of Keith songs he relates his music and life to the love he has not only for his wife, Nicole Kidman, but also his daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. It's a cute simple little tune that's easy on the ears and quick to remember. To purchase "Without You" visit iTunes. Next Tuesday will be the last single song release before the album debuts on November 16, 2010.

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

Birthday Boy with NEW SONGS!

Not only is today Keith's 43rd birthday, but also the very special release date of Keith's new song, "Long Hot Summer." Though Keith's new CD, Get Closer doesn't launch until November 16th, he will be releasing one song every Tuesday until he debut of the album. I already bought the song (obviously) and it's fantastic. You can definitely see a trend in the CD with just the release of "Put You in a Song" and "Long Hot Summer." I can't wait for next Tuesday!

Happy Birthday Keith, we love you!

Keith's "We're All for the Hall" fundraiser has once again proved to be a success. This year Keith and his partners raised more than $400,000, which brings the 2-year total to more than $1 million. Lending a Helping Hand

It was just announced that Keith, along with Ms. Rimes and Underwood, will be appearing in an upcoming episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The three are lending a helping hand to rebuild the Lighthouse Christian School near Nashville that was heavily damaged by the Nashville floods in May. The episode will be aired (tentatively) on November 7th, which is a great way to kick off the November 10th CMA Awards.

I'm Alive and I'm Free...Who Wouldn't Want to Be Me?

Let's face it, I think Keith makes all of us Monkeys feel pretty weightless, just as he looks in this awesome photograph. This is one of the major photographs/posters I have my Keith Urban styled living room.

He's a MONKEY!

So yesterday I was at work talking about Keith, of course, and my boss starts telling a story about how he signed up for Keith's fan club to surprise his wife with good tickets for a concert. I was like... "YOU'RE A MONKEY!?!?!" And he replied, "Yes, I'm a Monkey." I don't think I've EVER loved my boss this much in my entire life.

Chat with Keith...

Early this morning Keith did a live video feed/chat with fans answering a variety of questions posted by Monkeyville members. To view the taping of the chat, click here.

I just love how Keith takes time out of his busy schedule to get into contact with his fans. The best parts about the interview are:
1. His laugh
2. Preview of his new song!
3. Him trying to pronounce city names
4. Him getting SERIOUSLY excited for the huge tour next year
5. The love he puts into his songs and the dedication he has for his fans

All in all, I love Keith and am thankful for everything he does for his fans.

Put You in a Song LYRICS

I was just checking out Somebody Like You and found that they actually posted the lyrics for Keith's new song BEFORE it's actually released. I'm sure Keith wouldn't be too excited that people know the lyrics before it's release date, but none-the-less, here they are folks...

Well here you come again and you’re lookin’ so fine

You don’t notice me but it’s alright

I’m just a guy who wishes that I could be your man someday

Yeah a picture paints a thousand words it’s true

But it’s still not enough for how I feel about you

I wanna put you in a melody, I gotta set you to a groove

I wanna put you in my car and drive

And turn you up loud, roll down all the windows and shout it out

I love this girl oh

If I could press play, repeat how happy I’d be

Wherever I’d go I’d have you there with me

You’d be right where you belong

I wanna put you in a song, oh oh oh

Well I’d sing about your smile and your pretty blue eyes

The way your hair shimmers in the sunlight

It’d be so easy I’d just write it from my heart

‘Cause I gotta tell the world what you mean to me

Wrap you up in a melody so you’ll be

Stuck in my head all day

‘Cause you’re already there anyway, yes you are

I wanna put you in my car and drive

And turn you up loud, roll down all the windows and shout it out

I love this girl

If I could press play, repeat how happy I’d be

Wherever I’d go I’d have you there with me

You’d be right where you belong

I wanna put you in a song

And if I get it right everybody’d be singing along yeah

And when they see you on the street they’ll say

Hey ain’t you the girl in that song

I wanna put you in my car and drive

And turn you up loud, roll down all the windows and shout it out

I’m in love with this girl

Yeah if I could press play, rewind a couple million times

Imagine for a moment that you’re all mine

Every night I’d drive you home

If I could put you in a

Let me put you in a song

Let me put you in a song

Oh a pretty little song about you baby

Put You In A Song

Here's a sneak peak of the cover of Keith's newest single out next week, "Put You in a Song."

New Tour, New Album...Life is GOOD!

I just finished watching Keith's last Urban Development for the Summer Lovin' Tour 2010 and I can't help but get butterflies in my belly when he says next year they'll be a "bahemeth massive tour." I guess I better start saving my mula now!!!

In related news, Keith's new single is set to be released next week with the entire album released on November 16th. I must say, I love how Keith always releases his albums around my birthday. I mean, 18 Kids actually came out ON my spectacular!

Here's a clip worth watching..

Cloud 9

It's 3 days post meeting Keith and I'm still on Cloud 9. Last night was exciting because it was my first day back at work and I got to tell everyone about my awesome Keith adventure. Similarly exciting was my first day back at class today where I got to share my story with just about every single person in all of my classes. I'm sure at this point people think I'm absolutely crazy, but that's ok...I tell them I'm no psychotic...I'm a Keithaholic :) I really don't see any end to this feeling of euphoria and I can honestly say that it's kind of making everything else in my life just seem to fit together. So thank you again, Keith, for making me the happiest girl on earth.

In other Monkey news, Keith is eagerly awaiting his "All For The Hall" fundraiser that will take place in Nashville on October 5th. Tickets go on sale next Tuesday for Monkeyville members and on Friday for the general public. Unfortunately, I have school so I won't be able to attend, but for those of you who are interested, please click here for more information.

Dreams Come True

Well ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment we've all been waiting for. The one wish that I've had for the past five years and counting has finally come true ... I GOT TO MEET KEITH URBAN! So here's the story...

As anyone who knows me would know, I've been waiting for about a year to see Keith perform at the Champlain Valley
Fair in Essex Junction, Vermont. I had purchased SECOND row tickets over a year in advance and eagerly awaited my next opportunity to see Keith in action. What was extra special about this concert was that #1: I was second row with my cousin, Vicky, which was the closest I had ever started out at a Keith concert, and #2: my parents were going! For years I've been trying to get Mom and Dad to go to a Keith concert so they could understand why I play thousands of dollars on him..and the time finally came!

Mom, Dad, and I left Farmington around noontime on Friday in order to get to the fair early so I'd be there in the morning when Keith's buses pulled in. On the way down I completely decked the motorhome out with Keith signs. Along the top of our Class-C motorhome was a huge red and black "KEITHAHOLIC" sign and along the sides were "Mrs. Urban Wanna Be" and his band members'
names. When we got to the fair, wouldn't you know that we had HUGE Keith fans next to us! Though they were a little upset that I claimed to be a bigger fan, they were so nice and actually proved to Mom and Dad that I wasn't as big of a psycho as they had previously thought...other people felt the same way about him!

I went (or TRIED, rather) to go to bed on Friday night at a reasonable time so I'd be up early in the morning to go check out the Keith scene. Unfortunately, I was so super excited for the concert that I literally couldn't sleep. I saw the clock at every hour and was absolutely exhausted when I finally got up around 7:30. Excited with anticipation, I quickly showered and put on my Keithaholic shirt and boots and went to go check out the Keith situatio
n. Unfortunately by the time I got there, Keith and his men had already arrived. Unlike most other concerts, they only had a few buses there and they were only separated from the public by a tall wooden fence. I walked around the area for a while, but with no sign of Keith, Mom, Dad, and I decided to go into the fair. Around noontime I got a call from Vicky saying that she had arrived. On our way back to the camper to meet her, Mom talked to a guy at a coffee stand that said he had heard Keith was out on his motorcycle looking at property on the islands...imagine that, he was in public!!!

We met Vicky and ate some grub and Vicky and I left to go check out if any Keith status had changed at his trailers. On
our way on the dirt road I heard a distant motorcycle behind us. I turned around and the front motorcycle was MR. KEITH URBAN!!!!!! I literally thought I was going to die. I started jumping up and down uncontrollably, yelling "Keith!" and waving my arms. It was clear that he thought I was hilarious as he slowed his motorcycle down to say "HI!" As he drove by it suddenly occurred to me that I was an IDIOT for not following off I ran. Fortunately, Vicky is the greatest cousin in the world and took off after me. Keith pulled in right between his motorhome and a big white trailer that was parked about 10 feet parallel to it. I couldn't see Keith's entire body, but I could tell that he was taking off his gear and hadn't yet gotten into his motorhome. Suddenly Keith came out from behind the door and walked to another trailer. He waved again to me and I got really, REALLY excited. I knew that at some point he'd have to walk back to his trailer, and I was willing to wait ALL NIGHT!

About 2 minutes later, Keith reappeared! I yelled his name and he looked over and said "HI," then I said..."
CAN I HAVE A HUG." THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD! Without a second thought in his mind he began walking toward me...I was freaking out!!!!!!!!! I literally couldn't stop jumping up and down and screaming. He probably thought I was a nut, but that's ok...because I am :) What was most impressive about him coming over was that it wasn't like it was just a short walk. I would say he was about 30-40 feet away and he went out of his way JUST to see me....THIS is why I love him so much. So he came over and gave me literally the biggest hug of my entire life. It wasn't one of those lame "friend" hugs, it was like a real, you're my boyfriend, kinda hug. I was in heaven. Unfortunately, I was so excited that I couldn't even collect thought to say anything to him. All that could come out was "I LOVE YOU," and I think he appreciated it because he couldn't stop laughing. Thankfully Vicky was with me and said "Keith, can I get your picture with her." He said "OF COURSE!" and I officially decided I owed Vicky a limb or organ or something for thinking that quickly on her feet. Crying hysterically, I got my picture taken with him and hugged him one last time. I wish I had been in the right state of mind to talk to him to tell him how much he changed my life...but I guess I'll have to save that for the NEXT time I see him :)

He walked away and I literally thought I was going to die. I never ever th
ought I'd have my one single dream come true. I was crying, I was smiling, I was jumping up and down...and the security guards asked if I needed medical assistance. I felt like I couldn't breathe, but definitely didn't want to pass out!!! Never have I ever, nor will I ever again, be that excited. I know it sounds so lame, but my life is complete.

So I'd like to say THANK YOU KEITH for taking a few minutes out of your day to make a very dedicated fan feel like the luckiest woman on earth. You will never know how much you've done for me in the past, and you have no idea what I'd do for you given the opportunity. I can honestly say that you have saved my life, and I love you so much for it.

So..I went back to the camper and told everyone
the story and literally had to call almost everyone I know to tell them about the exciting news. The ladies in the campers next to us were flabbergasted! One of the ladies actually wanted to hug me so she could have some of Keith on her :)

It was about 1:30 and my dream had come true already...what a great day! I spent the next hour and a half crying and jumping up and down...I was SO exhausted after, but I still couldn't wait for the conc

Kris Allen opened for Keith and he was absolutely fantastic. As with many other concerts, Vicky and I were the only two standing up for his entire
performance...and he noticed :) When Keith hit the stage we ended up standing center stage with one one tiny girl in front of us. Keith was ELECTRIFYING, as usually...and I was in heaven for the 2nd time of the day. The only unfortunate part about the concert was that the stage was pretty far from the fan barricade, so Keith wasn't able to connect with his audience as much as he usually did. He DID go out into the audience once with his light up guitar so Mom and Dad got to see a better view of him. His voice was crisp and amazing...and Mom and Dad were really impressed. I still haven't figured out why two of his band mates (Brad rice and Chris Rodriguez) weren't there, but he was still flawless.

After the concert I talked to some of the guys up on the stage and I was able to get Jerry Flowers' (bass player) set list and also his pick that a lady in front of me had given me. Quite a perfect day, if you ask me. Please enjoy the pictures from the is a day I will NEVER forget. September 4th will always be known as "Keith Day" in my book :)

So Close, But Yet So Very Far Away..

With only 10 days left to see Mr. Urban, the anticipation is getting a little too much to handle. I'm already starting to plan out my outfit...and trying to plan out what I'd say if I actually DO get to meet the man of my dreams. I mean, I know that I'd just be a blubbering (and probably crying) mess...but it's always good to have a game plan. Anywho, I can't wait! I'm so excited that I get to share 2nd row with the coolest cousin in the world, Vicky, and am equally excited that my parents are going to see him too - they will be instant Keithaholics :)

"Take It To The Limit" with Keith & Dierks

Here are a few clips from the Keith concert I went to in Roanoke, VA. The first is a clip I saw on youtube of Keith and Dierks singing "Take It To The Limit." Unfortunately the video cuts out while Keith discovers that Dierks has the lyrics written on his arm. The second video is one that I took at the end of the show. Enjoy!

Ten Prime Keith Urban Hits

CMT News recently published an article distinguishing Keith's top 10 hits as defined by staff members Craig Shelburne, Christopher Parton, Stephanie Pendergrass and Calvin Gilbert. The group identifies Keith as taking "a more subtle approach, building his career largely on songs of optimism, personal freedom and a mostly idealistic view of love and romantic relationships." These are the exact characteristics that make women across the world not only fall in love with Keith, but with his songs as well. I, myself, have experienced this love for Keith for many years now, which only intensifies during heartbreak.

The top ten songs are as follows:
Better Life
But for the Grace of God
Days Go By
I Told You So
Making Memories of Us
Raining on Sunday
Somebody Like You
Stupid Boy
Til Summer Comes Around
You'll Think of Me

Keith at Mohegan Sun: Night One

Studio Session Blog

So I've been super busy this summer and haven't paid quite as much attention to as I'd like to. With that said, I did a little investigating this morning and found a really cool Studio Session Blog that can be found by visiting, clicking on the "news" tab, then "Studio Sessions." It's a neat blog written by Brad that documents the process of making Keith's new album. There are pictures, videos, special messages from Keith, and a full description of what's going on in the studio. A great addition to Keith's site!

Countdown To Keith

It's that time of the year again: Keith Concert Time!!! That's right, in a mere 34 days I'll be basking in the 2nd row with my cousin, Vicky, as Keith takes on the Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction, Vermont. Having been to almost 10 Keith concerts thus far, I must admit that I am still just as excited for this concert as I was for my first. What's extra special about this concert is that 1) I'm sitting in the 2nd row, which is BY FAR closer than any other starting position seat at a Keith concert, and 2) my parents are going!!! Since the first time I saw Keith at Mohegan Sun I've been trying to talk my parents into going to one of his concerts, or rather "experiences," and they're finally going! Although I'm sure it won't be as intimate of a concert because it's outside, at a fair, and he won't have a catwalk, I can't wait for my Dad to see all of his guitars, his voice, and his AMAZING stage presence. I only hope they gain the respect for Keith that I've always had...

Nashville Disaster

The recent flooding in Nashville, Tennessee is bringing out the best and worst of Nashville artist. Since the flood, radio stations have been full of telethons trying to bring in money to help renovate the expected one billion dollars in damage. With that said, many artists, such as Keith Urban and Brad Paisley, have lost nearly all of their equipment as it was stored in a storing facility in Nashville. See Keith talk about his loss and the loss of others in Nashville here at

Monday, March 8, 2010

Last night..or rather really really really really REALLY early this morning Keith was a special guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Not only was he a member of the "Handsome Man Club," but also got a chance to really rock out to "Til Summer Comes Around." Check it out...

And the Winner Is....

Mr. Keith Urban!!! That's right, last night on the People's Choice Awards Keith won favorite male artist. At least the American people know what they're talking about, even if country music associations don't!
